This is a residential conversion of an industrial site situated along the Canal de Charleroi between Quai de Mariemont and the beginning of Chaussee the Ninove. The building permit #32.946 delivered on March 1, 2002 by the township of Molenbeek St Jean foresees the creation of several lofts. This is the first major project of this type on the Quai the Mariemont> (see attached photo circa 1903 and aerial photo).

The development comprises four buildings - most with four levels and a flat roof. Blocks 1 and 4 (11 & 12 Quai de Mariemont) face the canal. Block 4 will be developed at a later stage. Blocks 2 and 3 are in back. Access is gained to each of the 13 units via 11, Quai de Mariemont and/or 70, Chaussee de Ninove.

The following are offered for sale: 1 Duplex apartment, 10 lofts (of which two are duplex) one workshop (or loft) and one unit of commercial/office space. The twelve residential units each have a small yard or terrace, some on the roof with an exceptional view of the Northern office towers, the downtown landmarks and the Molenbeek navigation locks.

The surfaces are between 140 and 308 m2 excluding terraces. Selling prices are between €116.510 and €389.190 excluding parking spaces and transaction costs. Different levels of finish are offered, all in the authentic character of this former brewery dating from the turn of the last century. All building codes are scrupulously followed including fire-resisting doors and armored doors. Also available are coded access and videophones to ensure the security of the residents.
